Currently, many CPD professionals use historically traditional methods of engaging and assessing learners in CPD such as hour-long lectures followed by a post-test. These methods do not meet the needs of today’s health care professionals who more often need CPD delivered in shorter chunks and at the point of care.

Educational need or gaps to be addressed
Many CPD professionals lack the ability to incorporate more innovative methods of learning and assessment into their practice.

Aim/Learning Objectives:
Explore the evolution of CPD from three different perspectives and identify at least 1 new skill in practice.

Format and Interactivity:

Didactic presentation with Q&A, chat, and potential polling

Anticipated Outcomes:
Learners will be able to apply at least 1 new skill in practice.

Target Audience:
CPD professionals who are interested in furthering their knowledge and skills.
