MedEdPublish has been accepted for indexing in PubMed! This major milestone provides further validation of the rigour of the Platform’s publishing model, as well as recognition for the quality of the research published on MedEdPublish so far.

Since the launch of MedEdPublish by the Association for Medical Education in Europe (AMEE), the Platform has carved out an alternative to traditional publishing methods in the field of medical education. Indexing in PubMed provides validation for AMEE’s efforts to catalyse a change in the way medical education is published and provides an opportunity to increase the visibility and discoverability of MedEdPublish publications.
This new milestone opens-up opportunities to further the aims of MedEdPublish in increasing the openness and transparency of medical education research. This achievement is a reflection of the ongoing efforts and determined work of AMEE, the MedEdPublish Advisory Board, and the authorship to build and support open, transparent, and robust reporting of medical education research.

Since its launch in 2016, MedEdPublish has developed into an innovative publication Platform that meets the needs of the medical and health professions education research community. The recent announcement that MedEdPublish will be indexed in PubMed represents another significant milestone, and AMEE is delighted that the excellent work of both the authors and reviewers will now be rewarded with the recognition they deserve.”
